Jean M. Judd selected for exhibition at the Octagon Center for the Arts



The Octagon Center for the Arts has announced that textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin is one of the artists selected for inclusion in the 47th All Media 2015 Art exhibition. The exhibition is open to all media and methods, including but not limited to clay, fiber, paper, glass, metal, wood, painting, collage, photography, and jewelry. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Rusted Lace #2. 

Exhibit juror Pauline Verbeek-Cowart, Department Chair of the Fiber department and Professor at the Kansas City Art Institute, has selected 65 artworks from a submission pool of 323 artworks. The exhibit opens on January 23, 2015 and is open through April 4, 2015.

The opening reception and awards presentation is on January 23, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:30pm. The address for the exhibition is:

Jean M. Judd accepted to Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum's Exhibition



The Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum in Mesa, Arizona has selected textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin for inclusion in the 36th Annual Contemporary Crafts Exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes her Contaminated Water #3: Sludge.  This year is Judd’s fifth being included in this prestigious exhibition.

This exhibition highlights the finest in contemporary crafts from around the country and is a benchmark of innovation and quality produced within traditional craft forms such as ceramics, fibers, basketry, metals, wood, glass, jewelry, paper making and book arts. Forty-nine (49) artworks by twenty-nine artists were selected from a pool of 287 submissions by the exhibition's jurors Jennifer and Mike Tansey, owners of Tansey Contemporary in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The exhibition opens on February 13, 2015 and is open through April 5, 2015. The artists' reception and awards presentation is on February 13, 2015 from 7 to 10 pm. The address of the museum is:

Jean M. Judd selected for inclusion in Elk River Area Arts Alliance's (ERAAA's) Arts in Harmony



The Elk River Area Arts Alliance (ERAAA) has announced that textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin is one of the artists selected for inclusion in Arts in Harmony, the 2015 International Juried Art Exhibition. The artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit is Flaming Grapes. This year is Judd’s eighth being included in this prestigious exhibition, which features paintings, drawings, hand-pulled prints, mixed media, fiber, photography, ceramics, glass, sculpture, and sequential art.

Exhibit juror Curt Pederson, Curator of Exhibits and Collections at the American Swedish Institute, Minneapolis, Minnesota has selected 224 artworks from one of the largest submission pools ever received: 640 artworks. The exhibit opens on February 2, 2015 and is open through March 26, 2015. The artists' reception and awards presentation (over $12,500) is on February 8, 2015 from 1 to 3:30 pm.
