The Mesa Contemporary
Arts Museum in Mesa, Arizona has selected textile artist Jean M. Judd of
Cushing, Wisconsin for inclusion in the 35th Annual Contemporary Crafts
Exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Twirling Leaves #2. This year is Judd’s fourth time being included in
this exhibition.
The
show highlights the finest in contemporary crafts from around the country
and is a benchmark of innovation and quality produced within traditional craft
forms such as ceramics, fibers, basketry, metals, wood, glass, jewelry, paper
making, and book arts. The exhibition's juror, Independent Curator Julie M.
Muñiz of the Oakland Museum of California, selected forty-six artworks by thirty-five artists from a pool of 248 submissions.
The exhibition opens on
February 14 and is open through April 13, 2014. The artists' reception and
awards presentation is on February 14, 2014 from 7 to 10 pm. The address of the
