SAQA Notes: "This is a Quilt!"

Greetings! We had a lovely time on September 15th, at The Lyric, enjoying a lively discussion that centered around our enjoyment of the trunk show: "This is a Quilt!" (see below for more info) We have Trunk D, one of the seven trunks presently traveling the globe. Containing about 30 pieces, the work included a diverse selection of techniques, themes and approaches. There was even a three-dimensional quilted sculpture encased in Plexiglas. Each attending SAQA member chose one piece that particularly spoke to her, and we took turns reporting on our chosen works. We shared the pertinent information included with the piece, then discussed the ways each piece personally resonated for the SAQA artist.
