Jean M. Judd accepted to Wild Apple Gallery exhibition Small Works – Large Appeal



The Wisconsin Visual Artists (WVA) NE Chapter has included textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin in the Wild Apple Gallery exhibition Small Works – Large Appeal. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Stained Glass Mosaic #4

This exhibition of artwork includes all artistic media but is limited to artwork that is no larger than 12”x12”x12”. Twenty-five artists' artworks will be on display at the exhibition. The WVA is the oldest art organization in the state of Wisconsin, founded in 1901.

The exhibition opens on September 3, 2014 and is open through October 25, 2014. The artists' reception, with live music, is on September 5, 2014 from 6 to 8:30 pm.

Jean M. Judd accepted into Art Institute and Gallery's Juried Show (Salisbury, Maryland)



The Art Institute and Gallery in Salisbury, Maryland has selected textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin for inclusion in the 22nd National Juried Exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Stepping Stones

This national juried exhibition of artwork includes all mediums, including 3D, photography, and other unique genres of art. Exhibit juror Maiza Hixson, Gretchen Hupfel Curator of Contemporary Art at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts (DCCA), selected 39 artworks for the exhibition from a submission pool of over 250 artworks.

The exhibition opens on September 13, 2014 and is open through October 10, 2014. The artists' reception and awards presentation is on September 13, 2014 from 5 to 7 pm.

Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin included in the 27th Annual Northern National Art Competition



The Nicolet Art Gallery at Nicolet College in Rhinelander, Wisconsin has selected textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin for inclusion in the 27th Annual Northern National Art Competition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit: Contaminated Water #5: Mutated Sand Dollars, Rusted Fish

This is an annual, national juried exhibition of 2D fine arts, including photography and mixed media work. The exhibit's juror, Linda Benedict-Jones, Adjunct Professor at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania has selected 87 artworks from a pool of 512 for the exhibition.  
The exhibition opens on July 22, 2014 and is open through September 12, 2014. The artists' reception and awards presentation by the juror is on July 22, 2014 at 5 pm. The address of the gallery is:

Jean M. Judd accepted for South Arkansas Arts Center's 2014 Juried Art Exhibition

The South Arkansas Arts Center in El Dorado, Arkansas has selected textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin for inclusion in SAAC's 2014 Juried Art Exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes Diamond #1: Layered Formations.  The artwork will be displayed "on point" for this exhibition.

This annual national show is a juried exhibition of 2D and 3D fine arts media including video, photography and computer-generated work. The exhibit's juror, Dayton Castleman, Museum Manager for 21c Museum in Bentonville, Arkansas has selected 39 artworks by 31 artists for the exhibition. Mr. Castleman said: “I’m not so much concerned with whether art is easily digestible to the viewer, but with whether it demonstrates an illusiveness and maturity that creates intrigue and requires deep reading and engagement.”

The exhibition opens on July 2, 2014 and is open through July 31, 2014. The artists' reception and awards presentation by the juror is on July 2, 2014 at 6 pm. The address of the arts center is:

Jean M. Judd's Contaminated Water #2 selected for inclusion in Art We Use at the Dairy Barn Arts Center



The Dairy Barn Arts Center in Athens, Ohio has selected textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin for inclusion in the Art We Use National Exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Contaminated Water #2: Pond Scum and Flaming Grapes.   
This exhibition is a new national juried show of OBJECTS, with a broad base of media—works in wood, clay, metal, glass, paper, and fiber. The exhibit's jurors—Craig Nutt, Director of Programs for CERF+; Jennifer Poellot Harnetty, editor of ceramicartsdaily.org; and Paul W. Richelson, chief curator, Mobile Museum of Art—selected sixty-nine (69) artists for the exhibition. There will be 128 artworks to view during the exhibit's run. 
The exhibition opens on June 20, 2014 and is open through September 1, 2014. The artists' reception and  presentation of awards over $10,000 is on June 20, 2014. The address of the arts center is:
