Jean M. Judd accepted for Material Witness Exhibition



The Women’s Caucus for Art of Georgia and Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia have selected textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin as one of the artists included in the Material Witness Exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Contaminated Water #3: Sludge. The exhibit will present a review of our times as expressed by women artists across the United States.
Exhibit jurors Lisa Alembik, Lynn Marshall-Linnemeier, and Marcia Wood have selected artworks for inclusion from a wide range of fine art submitted for consideration. The submission pool included two- or three-dimensional works, video, installation, and performance art. The exhibit opens on September 26, 2013 at the Dalton Galleries and is open through November 15, 2013.

Jean M. Judd announces new book, An Artist’s Journey: Book 2



Join award winning textile artist and author Jean M. Judd as she shares her journey as a textile artist and art quilter in this ongoing series of books, An Artist’s Journey: Book 2 (ISBN-13:978-1484065068). Discover the evolution of her art studio from 1982 to 2013. She shares more of her thoughts, inspirations, and influences in Book 2 just released in April 2013. Jean M. Judd selected for inclusion in Lancaster County Art Association's national juried exhibition.



The Lancaster County Art Association in Strasburg, Pennsylvania has announced that textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin is one of the artists selected for inclusion in its national juried exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes Sound Waves #2: White Noise.  

Exhibit juror Eve Ingalls has selected 74 artworks for inclusion from the wide range of fine art submitted for consideration. The submission pool included Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Photography, Sculpture, Ceramics, and Other Media. The exhibit opens on June 9, 2013 in the Kauffman & Steinmetz Galleries and is open through July 18, 2013. The artists' reception and presentation of the juror's awards is on June 9, 2013 from 1 pm to 5 pm at the gallery. The address for the exhibition is:

Jean M. Judd's Diamond #1: Layered Formation Selected for Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center's Exhibit



The Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center in Frederick, Maryland has announced that textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin is one of the 38 artists selected for inclusion in the 2013 Annual Juried Art Exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Diamond #1: Layered Formation. 
The exhibit's juror Gerald Ross, Director of Exhibitions at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland, has selected 49 artworks for inclusion from over 400 pieces submitted for consideration. The exhibit opens on May 4 and is open through June 23, 2013. The artist's reception and the presentation of the juror's awards will take place on May 4, 2013 from 3 to 5 pm at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center.

Jean M. Judd included in the Art League of Hilton Head’s 2013 Biennale National Juried Art Exhibition



The Art League of Hilton Head on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina has announced that textile artist Jean M. Judd of Cushing, Wisconsin is one of the artists selected for inclusion in the Art League of Hilton Head’s 2013 Biennale National Juried Art Exhibition. Artwork selected for inclusion in the exhibit includes: Contaminated Water #6: Suspended Particles.  
Exhibit juror Paul E. Matheny, III, Chief Curator of Art at South Carolina State Museum, has selected 95 artworks from the 330 artists’ submissions of paintings, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography, and mixed media artworks. The exhibit opens on May 4, 2013 and is open through June 1, 2013. The artists' reception and juror's awards presentation is on May 3, 2013 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Walter Greer Gallery.
